The Royal Green Park London
Green Park is part of a chain of 4 Royal Gardens in Central London and it stands between St James’s Park and Hyde Park. Green Park is not as large as other parks are in the chain, and it only covers 19 hectares of area. The park is situated very close to St James’s park, which is comparatively ‘louder;’ but Green Park is a more peaceful place having beautiful trees and green land surrounded by Board walk and Piccadilly. This is the same place where a very famous rebellion took place when Mary I was going to marry Philip II in 1554. In 1667, the park was known as upper St James’s Park but it later became Green Park. It does not include any lakes and buildings but it has some very good monuments. During the 18th and 19th century, the park was readily used for public display of fireworks and ballooning. Every person who visits London should get a chance to see this park as it reflects the true highness of the Royal Family and Royal Gardens.

History of the Royal Green Park
The place of the park was once a burial ground for lepers that came from the St James’s hospital then later in the 16th century, the place was enclosed by Henry the eighth. In 1868 the Sandpit Fields were surrendered to Charles II and he later converted this land into Royal Park. In the era of the 18th and 19th centuries, the park was used for ballooning and fireworks. -

How to Get There
By Tube
You can get to the Royal Green Park by taking Jubilee, Piccadilly or Victoria line towards the Green park tube station that is located outside the park. From the station head southwest on Piccadilly/A4 towards Stratton St and after covering a distance of 0.1 miles, take a left and then take a right and then another left and you will be inside the premises of the Green park.
