Freud Museum in London
The Freud Museum is located in the Camden town area of London. The museum’s collection of 2000 antiquities and objects attract people in large numbers. History
Freud shifted to London after the Nazi Annexation of Austria in 1938. The place was originally the house of Freud and was later converted to a museum upon the wish of his daughter Anna Freud after her death in 1982. The museum includes papers, photographs, furniture and documents that Freud managed to bring with him to London. -

Collections to See
People admire various collections and antiquities of Greek, Oriental, Roman and Egyptian era. A great chunk of his collections hail from Vienna. People can conduct research (with prior permission) on the history of psychoanalysis and the life of Freud and Anna Freud at the museum. The museum's centrepiece is its study and the managemnt of the museum has succeeded to preserve it exactly as it was during the lifetime of Freud. Moreover, the museum gives the option to people to hold seminars, get-togethers, filmings or other kinds of events. The shop at the museum sells photographs, limited edition prints , books, mugs and tea towels, jewellery, stationery, greeting cards, sweets and chocolates, t-shirst and keyrings. -

Tickets and Entry
Charges of entry for adults is GBP 6.00. Senior Citizens can get entry by paying charges of GBP 4.50. A Concession of GBP 3.00 is given to students with valid ID cards, children aged 12-16, unemployed or disabled persons. Children under 12 years of age can enjoy a free entry. -

The museum remains open from Wednesday to Sunday. The timings are from 12.00 hours to 17.00 hours. -

How to get to the Freud Museum
By Tube
Separated by a distance of only 0.3 miles, the Finchley road underground station is the closest tube station from Freud museum. It can take you around 6 minutes to reach it from the tube station. Head east on Canfield Gardens and then make a right turn onto Finchley Rd. Turn left and then make a right turn to get onto Maresfield Gardens. “Nutley Terrace (Stop)” is just 0.2 miles away from Freud museum and the distance can be covered in 4 minutes. Use bus number 46 to reach the bus stop. From the bus stop move northward on Fitzjohn's Ave and make a left turn onto Nutley terrace and then turn left onto Maresfield Gardens. You will spot the museum on your left side.View map
