Kenton Tube Station London

Kenton tube station has a distinction to run on the line which lies parallel to the first ever railway line in the United Kingdom, which was laid down in 1837 by a joint venture of London and Birmingham Railway. The line was originally laid down to provide Watford Junction station to Euston Station but in 1912, Kenton station was formally started to provide services to the residents of Kenton. In the start, it served only London overground on Watford DC Line, but in 1917, the Bakerloo line was opened to provide underground services, especially to students of the nearby University of Westminster. Now the station runs both, underground and overground operations and serves about 0.5 million people in a single year, but it provides entrance and exit from Kenton Road only.
