Temple Tube Station London

Temple tube station is located very close to the border of The City of London. The tube station was opened in 1870 on district and circle lines by MDR. When the railway extended its tracks from the south side, it was attached with MR tracks and both started a joint service which is now known as Inner Circle. In 1872, MDR started a branch from North side of the station to connect with WLEJR and started operations on MDR tracks, which is known as Outer Circle service. Middle Circle service started operations from MR tracks in August 1872, which were also jointly operated by MDR and H&CR but these services were ended in 1900 and Outer Circle services were also with-drawn from MDR tracks in 1908. Metropolitan lines started Inner Circle route and then the route found its own identity on the map as Circle Line. The station is mostly used by the people who work in the west of City, and has a facility of vending machines and telephone and it has one main entrance to the ticket hall that is from Victoria Embankment and the same hall is used to exit from the station.
