How to Make a Rubber Band Bracelet

Did you ever know that the mini rubber bands you use to tie your ponies for different hairstyles can be used to make jewellery items as well? You can use these colourful rubber bands to make a multicoloured bracelet, which is not only easy to make but looks stylish as well. A bracelet is jewellery item that is worn around the wrist and suits both men and women.

Things Required:

– Durable rubber bands of different colours
– Pencil
– Thread, string or yarn to tie the ends of the bracelet
– Beads, pearls or shells (optional)

Instructions

    Buy a package of clean, durable rubber bands from the nearest store. While you can use plain rubber bands as well, coloured ones look better.

    Take one rubber band from the package and fold it half around a pencil or stick, holding its ends between the thumb and index finger of your right hand.

    Take another rubber band and pass it through the ends of the one you had folded around the pencil.

    Fold the second rubber band as well into half, like the first one and hold its ends between your thumb and index finger.

    String another rubber band through the ends of the second one.

    Continue adding and folding rubber bands until the chain is long enough to go around your wrist.

    Once your rubber band bracelet has attained the required length tie its open ends together. Open ends here means the ends of the first and last rubber band. You can tie the ends together using a rubber band or with the help of a thread or yarn.
