How to Make Valentine Cupcakes

Cupcakes are easy to make and can be served on Valentine’s Day regardless of age and gender. Moreover, you can decorate your Valentine’s Day Cupcakes in multiple ways and use different toppings to make them more attractive. Suffice to say, when it comes to Valentine’s Day, homemade cupcakes give you tons of options to play around with. Not only will they save you time, but you can personalize each cupcake for the intended recipient; for instance, you can make a cupcake each for your boyfriend/girlfriend, father, mother, sibling and a special friend.

    Chocolate Cupcake

    Take a small mixing bowl and add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 cups sugar, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1-teaspoon salt, 1-teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 cup shortening, 3/4 cup water, 2 large eggs, 3/4 cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 2 ounces melted unsweetened  baking chocolate to it.

    Mix all the ingredients at low speed for some time, and scrape down the sides of the bowl and the beaters.

    Now beat the mixture on a medium speed for around two minutes.

    Take the cake pans and half fill each of them with the chocolate mixture.

    Put the cake pans in a microwave and bake them at 160 C for 15 to 18 minutes.

    Take put the cake pans out from microwave and sand for at least five minutes.

    Transfer the cake pans to a wire rack until they cool properly. Now your chocolate cupcakes are ready and you can decorate them according to your desired theme.

    Red Velvet Cupcake

    Take a large mixing bowl and add 2 1/2 cups floor, 1/2 cup baking powder and cocoa and 1/4 teaspoon salt to it before mixing all these ingredients together.

    Add 2 sticks butter, five large eggs and beat them until they are light and fluffy. Mix in 1-cup buttermilk, 1-teaspoon vanilla, and 1-teaspoon red food coloring. Now mix the all the ingredients once again.

    Spoon this red velvet batter into cupcake liners until they are 1/2 full. Now bake these in a 350 degree preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes.

    Now get your cupcakes out and allow them to cool down before serving them.

    Vanilla Cupcake

    Take a large mixing bowl and add 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cup sugar, 3 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup shortening, 1-cup milk, 2 large eggs, and 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla to it. Beat all the ingredients at low speed for around two minutes.

    Scrap the bowl, add the albumen of four large eggs to the mixture, and beat at high speed until the mixture turns fluffy and smooth.

    Fill the batter evenly into your chosen cake pans, aiming to half fill them.

    Bake them in a 350 degree preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes before leaving them out and then transferring them to a wire rack. Your Vanilla Cupcakes are ready for decoration.
