The Lord Mayor’s Show in London
Lord Mayor show is a historic show held every year on the second Saturday of November, and has its roots dating back to 1535. A Lord Mayor is appointed for a one year term and is the Lord Mayor of the ‘Square Mile’ area within Central London. After taking oath, the Lord mayor moves in a procession sitting in a state coach from Guild Hall in City of London to Royal Courts of Justice, where he swears his loyalty to the Crown. The procession is known as ‘Lord Mayor Show’. The show has thousands of people to participate in its guided walks, make trips to the museums and cathedrals of the city and enjoy the enormous firework display.

History
Lord Mayor is appointed every year and is the Lord Mayor of 'Square Mile' area within Central London. The square mile is also known as 'City of London,' and constitutes the area that was actually or originally known as London since medieval period, much before the conuberations that later begun. Lord Mayor is elected for one year term on Friday before the second Saturday of November, and is the head of the municipal corporation of the city of London or Square mile. The next day, which is second Saturday of Novemebr, the Lord Mayor moves in a procession from Guildhall to the Royal Court of Justice and this procession is called 'Lord Mayor Show'.

Activities
The Lord Mayor Show has a gigantic fire work display, guided tour to the museums, artgalleries, castles and cathedrals of the city. The roads and streets are filled with people who come to watch the show and enjoy the firework and guided tours.
