10 REASONS TO DITCH THAT DIET by Rochelle Moore
Beauty, health and fitness come in all sizes. You don’t have to half starve yourself in order to be like certain stick-like actresses or models, happiness does not come from dieting alone. Dieting is the result of a deeper problem held within and until you decide to have a look for the main reason that you are overeating, have no confidence, have no energy, you cannot expect mere dieting to change your world.
10 REASONS TO DITCH THAT DIET
1 – DIETS ARE DANGEROUS
How many people in the media today are a size 6 and look anorexic? Dieting can lead to a depletion of our natural energy, causes calcuim deficience and in severe cases lead to anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and in some cases can be fatal. Personally I feel that you don’t have to be a size 6 to be sexy. Look at our more rotund sex symbols such as Maralyn Monroe…she had curves and did not resemble a bag of bones.
2 – DIETS ARE NOT SEXY
Some people who diet are overlooking the basic problem deep within that causes them to overeat. If you take time out to research yourself instead of counting cals. all day can you imagine just how great you would feel after a little while. Invest time in yourself and stop wasting time trying to be someone that you are not. Ultimately you will be far more confident, outgoing and even sexier.
3 – DIETS CAN ROB YOU OF YOUR LOOKS & ENERGY
If you are constantly see-sawing between being overweight and thin then your body has to suffer. Eating is a part of nourishing our bodies and when you deprive your body of certain elements this can lead to calcium deficiency, lack of energy and a pinched pale look to your skin and hair.
4 – DIETS ARE BORING
People who are constantly dieting talk excessively about their weight, think about nothing other than what they can or can’t eat and generally are boring to be with. It can become a way of life for some and this is not at all good for either their own bodies or their friends who have to listen to their incessant rantings. Don’t be a bore. There is so much more to life than counting your cals. from morning until you go to bed in the evening.
5 – DIETS ARE EXPENSIVE
What I don’t understand is when I am in the Supermarket and see the low-cal foods. They are so much more expensive than natural vegetables and yet they are supposed to contain less than other foods. My question is, why?
6 – DIETS AND PHOBIAS
When dieting becomeas a way of life it can actually turn a person into bordering on phobic. Fear of eating certain foods due to the fat content. When this is the case a food phobia can develop which can ultimately lead to physical and psychological ailments.
7 – DIETING DOES NOT MAKE YOU A DIFFERENT PERSON
Dieting does not make you any more beautiful, sexier nor even healthier. In fact, dieting can do exactly the opposite. As I mentioned before it is so important that you look at the underlying reason that causes weight problems. If you want to be more confident, attractive and outgoing, look at the real reason as to why you overeat. Find the solution and resolve to fix it. You will be far happier in the long term if you eliminate the base reason for your eating problems.
8 – DIETS AND WEIGHT
How many times have you gone on a diet only to find that when you stop your weight returns. Or even worse, how many times have you stopped your diet and actually gained more weight ? Diets are a temporary solution to a deep need within. You dont have to be thin to be attractive. You dont have to be thin to be sexy. You dont have to be thin just because models or actresses decide they want to look like matchsticks. Find happiness through investing time into your own being. Eventually you will build up your confidence and very possibly look for a different eating pattern when the time feels right to you.
9 – DIETS AND HAPPINESS
Ok, so you have starved yourself into a size 8 and are aiming full speed for a size 6. Will this necessarily make you a happier person? I very much doubt it. Perhaps when you started to diet you felt brilliant when you saw the first few pounds coming off. Perhaps dieting gives you a high? So let us say that you are now at your perfect size – does this solve any financial worries that you may have, does it make your stress levels less, does this make you a happier person? Generally when you reach your perfect size you have nothing to focus on except retaining your weightloss. Is this really the way you want to live?
10 – YOU ARE PERFECT
If you accept that you need to shed a few pounds in order to boost your self-esteem then that is not a problem at all. It is when you don’t see yourself as others see you. When you learn to love and appreciate yourself just as you are it is amazing what follows. By learning to accept who you are your confidence will begin to blossom, your health will improve dramatically and your overall wellbeing (mind,body and spirit) will flourish. Then guess what? You may automatically feel the need to feed your body nourishing foods in order to maintain this natural high. So, you see how important it is to get to the root problem of overweight….what is the real problem for you? When you find your own level of happiness amazing things automatically fall into place … even weight loss.
