Employee Resignation Email

When writing resignation email, one should clearly state the reason to leave and the mention the date when they will leave the position at a particular company.

The first paragraph of the email should contain information related to your intentions to leave the company. You can also add the effective date of your resignation in it, or you can also mention it later in the email.

You should also praise the way the organisation helped you in polishing your skills during your tenure at the company.

    Dear Sir,

    Please accept this letter as notice of my decision to resign from the position of Senior Executive Sales at ABC Company. I have recently received an opportunity that I believe will greatly help me in achieving my long-term career goals.

    I hope that you will understand why I am leaving my current position at your organisation.

    As per the company policy, I am ready to continue to work for the company for the next one month, completing my employment on June 3, 2013.

    If you want me to focus on any particular project during my notice period, please do let me know, and I will put my best efforts in achieving the assigned target.

    It was a great opportunity to work with this company, and the people work here. I am really thankful for the opportunities I was provided with.
