Dill, Tomato and Beetroot Salad Recipe

Dill, Tomato and Beetroot Salad is one of the refreshing dishes to have in a hot summer evening. For the reason that fresh dill tastes great when it is combined with the beetroot and tomatoes, it can be a perfect side dish in hot summer days. Aside from these two elements there are other ingredients as well, which go into the making of this delicious dish like olive oil, walnut oil, red wine vinegar etc.

However, this long list of ingredients does not mean that Dill, Tomato and Beetroot Salad take more time in putting together. You can prepare this dish within 20 minutes or less and by following the simple recipe below which can serve 4 people at least. Therefore, you can enjoy this delicious salad without exhausting and spending much time in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

– 6 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons walnut oil
– 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– small handful minced fresh dill
– salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
– 2 tomatoes, diced
– 1 stalk celery, chopped
– 1 spring onion, chopped
– 450 g (1 lb) beetroot, cooked and chopped

    Clean your entire work surface and utensils that you will be using to prepare this delicious salad recipe. Be sure to also wash your hands to avoid any sort of bacteria or health issues from arising later. Make it a good habit to keep your kitchen surface areas clean when preparing any particular food or beverage.

    Take a bowl and whisk olive oil, walnut oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice and small handful minced fresh dill together. You can always alter the amount of any of these items according to your own personal taste. Make sure that you take your time and whisk the the ingredients properly.

    Then, season this mixture of ingredients with salt and freshly ground black pepper as to your liking or taste. Try to make sure that you do not over season the mixture but try to find the perfect balance of seasoning.

    After that grab another bowl and place 2 diced tomatoes, 450 g cooked and chopped beetroot, 1 chopped spring onion and 1 chopped stalk celery in it. Then, toss all these ingredients, after which add dressing to this bowl and toss again just when you want to serve it to your family or guests. Remember to gently toss all of the ingredients as you do not want things to break up in to little pieces. Be careful while dicing and chopping your ingredients.
