Insalata Caprese Recipe Step by Step

Ingredients:

– 4 large ripe tomatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick
– 1 pound fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced 1/4 inch thick
– 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves
– 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
– fine sea salt to taste
– freshly ground black pepper to taste

    Take a large platter and place 1/4 inch thick slices of 4 large ripe tomatoes, 1 pound fresh mozzarella cheese along with 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves in an overlapping and alternate style.

    Then, sprinkle these overlapped ingredients with 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil.

    After the olive oil, take fine sea salt and black pepper which should be freshly grounded and season the overlapped ingredients to taste. Your salad will be complete and you can serve it immediately.
