How to Wax an Upper Lip

Hair on upper lip do not look good at all and are among serious problems for many women. Many times women adopt the shaving method to remove upper lip hair, considering it painless. However, they cannot ignore this fact that shaving never seems to last long and makes the roots of the hair stronger and thick every time. On the other hand, some females use hair removal creams and lotions, which are again messy and costly methods to remove upper lip hair. Therefore, forget both these methods and wax your upper lip at home to give a smooth and clean finishing touch that lasts several weeks long.

Things you will need to Wax an Upper Lip:
– Small soft towel or a piece of cloth
– Wax strips
– Lukewarm water
– Tissue paper
– Wax
– Ice cream stick or a small wooden spatula
– Moisturizing wipe
– After wax cream or Soothe creams

Instructions

    Take a small soft towel or a piece of cloth and dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds to wet it thoroughly. Squeeze the excess water and wipe your upper lip with the moist towel or cloth. Dry your upper lip with a tissue paper.

    Now, it is time to prepare the wax. Follow the instruction of the packet of wax in order to melt it. Otherwise, you can use the ready-made wax strips as well, which are easily available in the market.

    Note: Make sure the melted wax is neither too hot nor too cold.

    Pick an ice cream stick or a small wooden spatula and dip it in the wax. Now, gently spread the melted wax on your upper lip, ensuring it doesn't get into your mouth or cheeks.

    Note: In case if the wax gets on other areas of your face then you can simply wipe it with a wet tissue or a moisturizing wipe.

    Once you apply wax to your upper lip, top it with a cloth or waxing strip before it dries out. Use your finger tips to smooth the waxing strip and press it down gently for 2 to 3 seconds.

    Note: You really have to be quick in this step as you do not have to let the wax remain on your upper lip for more than 5 seconds.

    Now, hold the strip from the reverse direction of your upper lip hair growth and pull it off quickly. Repeat 3 and 4 until you remove all the unwanted upper lip hair.

    Remove the wax residues with a moisturizing wipe. Otherwise, take a cotton ball, dip it in baby oil and wipe the remaining wax off.

    Apply an after wax cream or any other soothing cream to the waxed upper lips in order to pacify the redness of the skin.
