Apply fertilizer to the surface of the soil
After determining the right kind of fertilizer for your trees, apply fertilizer to the surface of the soil. Do not just sprinkle the fertilizers on to the surface, rather dig a hole around the tree and then apply carefully.
After putting a good amount of fertilizer, mix all the soil and even the surface. Here you also need to take some precautionary measures. For example, if you know that a particular tree has beenthere for many years then expand the digging area in circular pattern.
Apply the fertilizers underneath the outer area; covering outer edges and foliage. Mix the soil again with hand and then water the area. Make sure that all the fertilizers dissolve in the soil. With this soaking procedure, you will see that it will slowly reach into the roots. -

You can also purchase dry or liquid fertilizers to fill the gaps in the soil around the tree. It is very important that you should ask first from any expert about which type of fertilizer will work better to fill the holes around the trees.

Liquid fertilizers can also be directly sprayed upon leaves of the tree. There are many such fertilizer sprays available in the market. This mode provides direct nourishment to the leaves.
