How to Make Meatloaf in Crock Pot
Meatloaf is basically a plain and dry dish that usually requires a dipping or sause to moisten it. However, by preparing it in a finely designed crock pot, also known as “slow cooker,” you can not only enhance its overall taste but the texture as well. This spongy meatloaf with a rich ketchup topping is among the family-favourite dishes.

Ingredients:
Large eggs: 2
Milk: ¾ cup
Seasoned bread crumbs: 2/3 cup
Dried minced onion: 2 teaspoons
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Rubbed sage: ½ teaspoon
Ground beef: 1 ½ pounds
Ketchup: ¼ cup
Brown sugar: 2 tablespoons
Ground mustard: 1 teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce: ½ teaspoon

Break the two large eggs into an extra large mixing bowl.

Use a whisk to beat the eggs until they become foamy.

Whisk in milk, seasoned bread crumbs, dried minced onions and rubbed sage.

Sprinkle the egg mixture with some salt and beat until it dissolves completely.

Crumble the ground beef over the egg mixture and mix up well until it forms a thick moist paste.

Now use your hands to shape the egg-beef mixture into a large round loaf and place it in a crock pot.

Cover the crock pot with its lid and cook the mixture for a minimum of six hours or until the meat thermometer reads 160 °C (320 °F). An indicator of this point is that the beef mixture is no more pinkish in colour.

In the mean time, take a medium mixing bowl and put the ketchup, brown sugar, ground mustard and Worcestershire sauce in it.

Whisk the mixture until the sugar dissolves and forms a thick paste.

Remove crock pot’s lid after six hours and spoon the ketchup mixture over the meat loaf.

Cover the crock pot again and cook it for another 15 minutes.

Turn off stove’s heat and let the meat loaf stand for 10 to 15 minutes.

Place the cooked meat loaf on a large serving platter and slice it, using a sharp knife.
