How to Tour Idyllwild Arts Academy

Before doing anything else you will be required to determine the exact location of the campus using Google Maps. It is recommended to start you tour from the admission office. The Academy offers tours Monday to Friday from 11:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs. Do not forget to schedule your tour before departing from your house.

Meet your host. Tours are conducted by current students or one of the Deans for the Department of Admissions. Your visit to the campus will be supervised by your host. Depending on time, you may be able to attend a class or eat lunch in the dining hall.

Plan an interview with a department chair. A typical tour to the Idyllwild Arts Academy will include an interview with the department chair for the field that interests you. The interview may include some time for you to audition for your specific field or for the chair to review your portfolio.

Attend a demonstration at Parks Exhibition Center. The Idyllwild Arts Academy hosts several community events throughout the year. Guest artists to the academy often present lectures, attend receptions or give demonstrations.

Walk through Eymann Sculpture Garden Gallery, located on the grounds that surround the Parks Exhibition Center. It was established to provide a beautiful landscape for the community. One sculpture per year is added to the garden and is chosen by the Visual Art Community.
