Over the years, a grilled cheese sandwich has become extremely popular all around the world and is liked equally by kids and adults. The reason behind the enormous popularity of a grilled cheese sandwich is its simplicity. Apart from that, a grilled cheese sandwich is quite versatile as it offers you a lot of room to experiment with cheese and bread.
Ingredients
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Cheese - 1 slice
- Bread - 2 pcs
Instructions
- Take a small plate in which you can place the butter.
- Put the plate in microwave but do not heat it for more than 10 seconds.
- You can now spread the butter on both sides of two pieces of bread before you place cheese between them.
- Once you have nicely spread the butter over the bread and have placed a fresh slice of cheese between them, you can now turn on the burner to low-medium heat.
- Now place the sandwich on the burner and allow it to grill until the bread turns golden brown from one side, which is going to take approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
- You can now turn the sandwich over and grill the other side.
- Keep in mind that the other side will be grilled faster as the frying pan is thoroughly heated.
- You can remove the sandwich from the pan after about 3 minutes.
- However, it is highly recommended that you make sure before removing the sandwich from the burner that it has turned golden brown from both sides.
- Your grilled cheese sandwich is now ready and can be served.
- Place the sandwich on a serving plate and cut it into two halves using a nice and sharp knife.
- If you like salad or French fries with your grilled cheese sandwich, they can be prepared separately.
