How to Make Spanish Rice And Beans

Making Spanish rice with beans is very simple. Rice and beans are a delicious as well as healthy and all the ingredients required to prepare this tasty dish at home. The ingredients required to make Spanish rice and beans are all readily available.

Ingredients:
White rice: 1 cup
Sazon goya: 1 packet
Beans- White or red: 1 can
Sazon Recaito: 1 tablespoon
Tomato sauce: 1 can
Goya recaito: 1 table spoon
Goya Adobo: as per your liking

    Firstly, you will need to boil rice, which is extremely easy. Take 1 cup of white rice and clean them thoroughly using a strainer. Next put the rice in a cooker and boil for about 20 minutes. For every cup of rice, it is recommended to use at least two cups of water. When the rice are half cooked, remove the cooker from the stove.

    Let the rice get fully cooked in steam for five to ten minutes. If  you have a rice cooker, you can simply add two cups of water along with rice. The rice cooker will automatically switch itself off when the rice is ready.

    Beans can also be prepared without much trouble. Simple open the can of beans using a can opener and then place them in a strainer to clean them thoroughly. This can be done by passing the water through the strainer several times. Place the washed and fresh beans into a sauce pan.

    Add tomato sauce of any reputable brand into the beans and put more water into the mixture. Mix goya into the ingredients. Depending on your needs, you may choose to prepare Goya recaito at home. Use a stirrer to mix the ingredients and then sprinkle some Goya Adobo over the mixture for enhanced taste and flavour.

    Cook the beans for at least 20 to 25 minutes. Wait for the beans to get soft and the sauce to thicken before removing the mixture from the stove.

    Pour bean sauce into the rice and serve with either corn of the cob or fresh vegetables.
