Making a clown cake is really easy and even a novice can make it, provided that they know the right process. Here is how you can make a scrumptious clown cake for your child’s birthday or for any other occasion.
Ingredients
- Egg whites - taken from 3 eggs
- Package white cake mix - 1 (18.25 ounce)
- Water - 1⅓ cups
- Canola oil - 2 tablespoons
- Paste food colouring - Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take two 8-inches round cake pans and grease and flour them, before setting aside.
- Take eggs whites and beat them well using an electric mixer until they become frothy.
- This will take around 1 minute.
- Now add in cake mix, water and canola oil as you beat them together for around 2 minutes.
- Here, you should set the mixer on medium speed.
- You can take the batter and divide it into six parts and place them in separate bowls.
- Using a toothpick, take a dab of food colouring and add it into one of the bowls of batter and stir well.
- You can add more colour if required, until the desired shade is achieved.
- Now you need to scoop spoonful of the batter into the prepared pans and use a toothpick to swirl, which will give your batter a marbled effect.
- Place the pans into the oven and bake for around 30 minutes.
- Take out the pans and allow them to cool for 10 minutes.
- Once they get a little cool, place them on a co0ling rack. You can now decorate the cake with whatever you wish to make it look like a clown face.
