Whenever you have eaten a spicy meal, the thought of some yummy dessert is never far. Although you can look at numerous recipes for that purpose, nothing is better than mango ice cream. It is loved by men, women and children, but people prefer buying it from the market rather than preparing it at home.
Ingredients
- Heavy cream - ⅔ cup
- Light cream - ⅔ cup
- Egg yolks - 2
- Corn flour - ½ teaspoon
- Warm water - 1 teaspoon
- Large mangoes - 3
- Mango juice - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice
Instructions
- Crack eggs in a small bowl and separate the yolks.
- You will not require the egg whites for this recipe, so store it somewhere for usage in any other dish.
- Add some water and corn flour to the bowl containing egg yolks and start mixing the ingredients until they become smooth.
- Put light cream in the saucepan and heat it on low flame. You just have to make it warm otherwise it will burn.
- Once you get the desired result, add the egg mixture in the saucepan and stir constantly. Once the mixture gets thick, place it aside.
- Peel the mango skin and slice the mangoes into smaller cubes.
- Put them into the blender in order to make mango puree.
- Once it is ready, pass it through a sieve in order to get rid of the fibre.
- Combine both mixtures you have made.
- Once they are blended, add some lemon juice as well.
- Start whipping the heavy cream until it becomes soft.
- Add it with the mango mixture and stir properly with the help of a wooden spoon.
- Add the mixture into a large container and allow it to freeze for a couple of hours.
- Take it out afterwards and stir once again before leaving it in the refrigerator for another hour.
- Your mango ice cream will be ready to be served.
