Things Required:

– Bath tub
– Soap

Start off by taking a cardboard and putting it on the ground. This board will be used for you to take out all the dirt from your rope. Put the rope on the board and start shaking it. You will notice how the dust particles will start settling on the board. Make sure that you do not step on your rope or press it since there is a high possibility that you will end up pushing the dirt particles deep into it.

Grab a bath tub and pour some cold water into it. Once you think it is enough for your rope to get submerged into it, pour some non-detergent soap in it. This will help you clean your rope thoroughly.

  • 3

Keep your rope outside and start hand washing it. Make sure that you clean the rope properly. A few people would just use their hands on the rope and think that it is clean, but you have to make sure that all the dust particles have been removed.

Once the rope has soap all over it, rinse it with clean water. Try not to use running water as pressure weakens the rope. Therefore, use another tub with clean and cold water and submerge the rope into it. This will remove the possibility of your rope getting weakened and remove the soap as well.

Once the cleaning procedure is over, it’s time for you to dry your rope. Take out the rope and hang it in a place where it is exposed to direct sunlight. The cardboard can also be used, where you can put your rope and put it out during day time. Make sure that your rope is completely dry.
