How Young Entrepreneurs Stand a Better Chance to Launch a Wildly Successful Venture

Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison, Michael Dell, Sergey Brin, Larry Page, and Mark Zuckerberg may be the owners and pioneers of entirely different and unique ventures, but all of them have one thing in common – their age, at the time, when they launched their respective companies.

None of these icons were above 30 by the time they had launched their first mega venture, and this has given rise to a very important question.

Should you forget about launching a company in case you have crossed 30?

Or, to be more precise, how old is too old to launch a company?

Well, the answer is, there is no limit. If Jobs, Gates and Zuckerberg did it before 30, Colonel Saunders made it happen at 62 and Sam Walton started Wal-Mart when he was 44. There are many more precedents supporting this case and it simply cannot be denied that life experience adds a unique perspective and insight to any project.

    They Have Better Ideas

    In today’s world, business is all about new ideas, understanding the emerging market and the needs which arise. And, if there is no need then deliberately creating some to succeed. No doubt, these attributes can be highlighted and achieved by critical thinking and analysis, but it is easier for the youngster to do so, just because they are entrenched in the basic fabric of what’s new.

    The Word Impossible Is Not In Their Dictionary

    Older entrepreneurs have a tendency to evaluate and relegate if they deem an idea too fanciful for their own good. While that may be a good thing essentially, but at times, this can prevent the practical realization of a brilliant idea. When it comes to young entrepreneurs though, there is hardly anything to lose, and they are driven to give their fullest to anything which inspires them.

    They Are More Focused and Sharp

    Being young means being independent; a life void of worries, stress and tension. You have no responsibilities, no commitments and a lot of time. With all the external life parameters sidelined, it is easier to focus on the venture as compared a relatively older, married or committed person.

    Similarly, younger people are brighter and tend to perceive things earlier. This means that they can adapt and improvise as the situation demands.
