Review of Satya Sai Baba Incense Sticks- Patchouli Forest
The Scent:
Patchouli Forest has a very similar scent to the original Nag Champa when you first open a box. However when you burn one of the incense sticks the Nag Champa scent becomes more of an undertone while deeper and darker spiced wood fragrances take the main stage.
As far as associating this scent with the fragrance of patchouli though, I am not really detecting notes of it. That does not at all mean it is a bad scent in the least, because the scent is actually really soothing, warming and is one of those fragrances that I could burn year round, but it is mostly appropriate for a winter month on a cold day.
Burn Time:
All of Satya incense sticks are made of the highest quality, and when it comes to Patchouli Forest there is no exception. The quality is there, and where there is quality, there is also a lasting quality. Patchouli Forest will burn for nearly 45 minutes until it is completely done. However, even after it is burnt out, the scent will linger for up to another hour.
That alone is better than any candle or room spray I have ever used.
Overall:
It is not the most interesting scent that Satya has ever created, but it is surely one that you will enjoy, especially if your a fan of the original Nag Champa fragrance. All in all, for the price at just under $4.00 for a 15g box, it is well worth it.
