New Straight Talk Prepaid IPhone 5C and 5S

Straight Talk is continuing to build up its vast array of available iPhones. They started with iPhone 4, 4s, and then soon after, came the iPhone 5. Now come the iPhone 5C and 5S. All of these phones are for use with the unlimited plan that put this prepaid no contract company on the map. Boost Mobile also recently announced that it will be adding the iPhone 5C and 5S to its popular line of unlimited prepaid plans. The notable thing about this addition is how quickly these phones went to prepaid providers after being available on contract plans for well under a year. This shows that prepaid plans are picking up new high end phones at a much more rapid pace than they have ever before.

If I’m not mistaken, the iPhone 5C coming to Straight Talk Wireless and Boost Mobile occurred at a much faster clip than the time it took Samsung Galaxy S4 to get to prepaid. This is great news for people who like nice phones but still want to get a prepaid plan with no long term commitment. iPhone 5C and 5S are now available with unlimited plans from Boost and Straight Talk–and probably a few more soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if Net10 quickly follows suit and if Virgin jumps on Boost’s coattails.

These phones are not yet available at Straight Talk’s website, but the current iPhones are, and they are priced at full retail prices. This leads me to believe that iPhone 5C will be priced at $550 while iPhone 5S will be priced at $649. Any way you look at it, they’re expensive because you are not subsidized by the contract holding company which can afford to give you a discounted phone since they know they will be getting your monthly bill payments for 24 months at the very least. To me, it’s the same thing, and with prepaid, you actually get the freedom to do what you want. Still, it’s expensive to get a new Straight Talk iPhone of any kind. I usually like to buy when a good deal is offered, so definitely keep your eyes open this holiday season as there is almost guaranteed to be a Straight Talk iPhone deal running that may entice you to buy. Virgin and Boost will probably also has some serious deals, so keep your eyes peeled.

Samsung Galaxy S4 is another phone option from Straight Talk if the iPhones are not to your liking as is the case with many people. At a price of $600 (you pay full retail generally for prepaid phones), you’re definitely going to want to take a look at all the specs and details and make sure it’s the right phone.
