CES 2014 Preview: Incipio Touches IPhone 5s
Incipio is making a case for Touch ID. Literally.
The Irvine-based company has updated their top-of-the-line ATLAS Waterproof Case, adding an intelligent Touch ID interface, compatible with the iPhone 5s’ Touch ID sensor.
Already a media darling, the ATLAS gained fans of those attending San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Exhibiting at an Engadget+gdgt Live event, Incipio showcased the waterproof case along with their other outstanding products. Everyone who stopped by their booth got a free case, and lucky ones left SD with an ATLAS.
It’s designed with five layers of protection: a water-resistant structure, intelligent Touch ID interface layer, co-molded rugged exterior, protective inner core, and scratch resistant tempered glass for next-level screen protection. There’s also a free one year warranty which covers accidental water damage on the device itself. That’s a great confidence in their product.
Waterproof for up to 2 meters for 30 minutes, the case also offers water-proof seals for the charging port and headphone jack. But users won’t have to fiddle and fumble to gain access to all ports, buttons and controls. It’s a thoughtfully designed case with user ease and peace of mind at the forefront.
< The iPhone 5s' Touch ID capability sent tongues wagging at the unveil, but not many cases were available to properly utilize the feature. This new case remedies that. Incipio will be showing the case along with their new products at CES 2014. They'll be in the North Hall at booth 4010.
CES takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Las Vegas hotel, Mandalay Bay, and the surrounding area. It really is a state when the show comes to Vegas. This year the dates are January 7-10, 2014.
