Curvature of the Spine

Nobody believes me but it’s absolutely true;
seems to me they just don’t even have a clue.
So what if my belly kind of sticks out;
a curvature of the spine, without a doubt.

It might have been that mattress when I was a kid;
man did that thing slump, I refuse to be languid.
Someone called my belly a bongo-dingo-pogo;
it was just a pun, just a little mumbo jumbo.

Some say I’m fat, although I exercise frequently;
yes, the diet is in check, most positively.
With the dumbbell, the sit-ups, and the walking too;
I accept the protrusion, and so you can too.

That curvature of the spine seems to be here to stay;
it would behoove me to not let it become my dismay.
I’m working on it, and I’m happier than most;
laughter’s the best medicine, and in that I boast.

Nobody believes me but it’s absolutely true;
seems to me they just don’t even have a clue.
Don’t judge by appearances, you just may be wrong;
just count your good fortune, then you’ll sing my song.
