Possible Alien Monuments Found in Space

Odd objects, found in space, are always going to be a topic of conversation, especially among conspiracy theorists. Finding structures on other worlds would have huge implications, most notably the existence of extra terrestrials, or an ancient human civilization with technology that has long since been forgotten.

Cydonia

One of the most popular structures cited by theorists is Cydonia , also known as “the face on Mars.” The first pictures of Cydonia came back with a strange-looking object that resembled a face. Experts as NASA said that the face was an illusion, caused by lighting, and recent photographs have revealed a more natural looking hill. Some theorists, however, say that the new pictures appear to be edited in order to hide the true nature of the structure. Real or not, the images are interesting.

Buzz Alrdrin and the Moon of Mars

During an interview, Buzz Aldrin discussed the wonders of space, and the importance of space exploration. In the interview, Alrdin mentions Phobos, one of Mars’ two moons. He states, “Visit the moon of Mars. There’s a monolith there, a very unusual structure on this little potato-shaped object that goes around Mars once in seven hours. When people find out about that they’re going say ‘who put that there?'” The quote is real; however, Aldrin has denied having knowledge of any extraterrestrial presence, and went on to answer his own question by saying it was the universe that was responsible for putting the monolith on Phobos. Theorists claim that after posing the question (who put that there?), someone off camera get’s Alrin’s attention, persuading him to remark that the creation of the monolith was a natural occurrence. Numerous videos of this event can be watched on Youtube, some showing the NASA photos of the monolith Aldrin refers to. It resembles a pyramid.

Moon Base

Another theory involving structures in space focuses on our own moon. The theory suggests that during the Apollo missions, astronauts stumbled upon a structure of unknown origin, and witnessed spacecraft of unknown origins around the structure. Not knowing if the structure was alien in nature, or perhaps built by the soviets, (or even the Nazis in some variations of the story) the astronauts were sent back to observe the structure. According to one theory, NASA was eventually persuaded not to return to the moon, and that’s why our space program began to suffer. Although lacking in evidence, this theory probably carries weight because of the relatively close distance of the moon, compared to the other planets and moons.
