Leap into Fitness with Aerojump

Aerojump has become one of the fitness world’s fastest growing exercise trends and the moves are being incorporated into workout routines across the country. Created by former pro-boxer Michael Olajide’ Jr., Aerojump is being hailed as one of the toughest and most rewarding workouts around today.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, here’s the scoop. Aerojump is an intense jump rope workout set to music that makes you move. That’s right, jump rope and music together. Jumping rope has slowly skipped its’ way into step classes and now it’s in a class all by itself. Used by professional boxers for athletic conditioning and to enhance sports performance, the rope is now part of an exercise program created for total fitness.

Aerojump is being described as a fast paced, intense workout that tones every single body part. Listen up ladies. This practical yet effective workout is particularly good for the hips, thighs, quads, gluteus, calves, and the often-neglected upper body. According to Olijade, ten minutes’ worth burns the same amount of calories as 30 minutes of jumping rope or running. That equals approximately 450 calories every 10 minutes depending on your weight.

Before going to a health club to try Aerojump, you may want to try it out at home. You may even continue the workout at home. Aerojump can be done just about anywhere. All you need is a good jump rope, preferably plastic with a good handle or hard sponge grip, sturdy shoes, cross-trainers are best, and “a floor with some good give.”

Jumping rope is something most American women grew up doing. With Aerojump the concept is the same, but intensity, speed, and a little rhythm are added to turn a simple jump rope, and your body, into a fat burning machine. Beginners should start out with 10 minutes every other day for a few weeks and gradually work up to 10 minutes daily. Michael Olajide’, Jr., originally from Liverpool, England, is one of America’s leading fitness revolutionaries. The former #1 middleweight contender feels that Americans are very conscious of their physical and physiological state. His impact on America led him from his hometown to Vancouver, Canada and then finally the United States. His boxing style is described as graceful and fluid, which was a key factor in helping him land jobs as stunt choreographer and trainer with Spike Lee and countless other directors.
