Skin Treatment that Actually Works!
Olay Total Effect Intensive Restoration Treatment
The “treatment” which is basically a white creme, comes in a small black 1.01 fl. oz. tube. The tube has a twist off cap and the cream is easily dispensed. The main purpose of the restoration treatment is to help restore younger looking skin in your most aging-prone zones. This could mean your eyes, cheeks, forehead, or your smile/frown lines. The creme has key igredients to make the skin restoration possible which is Pro-Retinol and VitaNiacin . Both ingredients have a mixture of vitamins that help exfoliate, moisturize, and then finally erase the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The product is dermatologist tested, and fragrance and oil free.
Promises, Promises
Olay makes many many promises about what this little miracle creme can do. The first promise is that the treatment begins to work immediately. Next, the creme is supposed to show visible effects within as little as four weeks. For eyes, it claims to visibly reduce fine lines. For mouths, frown and laugh lines will be softened. For the forehead, expressions lines are made softer looking. Olay even claims to diminish the appearance of age spots, pores, and blotches, while evening skin tone. Next, it promises to never clog pores. Finally, it also promises to fight past damage to problem areas.
Directions for Use
Olay Total Effects Intensive Restoration Treatment can be applied either in the morning or evening as long as you are applying it to freshly cleansed skin. When ready for use, simply dab a few drops on your fingertips and massage the creme into your trouble areas. The treatment is not intended as a moisturizer, so it needs to only be applied to the areas of your face that is your “trouble zones”. For me, that would be my eyes and a few areas on my cheeks. After applying, it is recommended to then follow up with a daily moisturizer. This could be your favorite moisturizer. I personally use Olay Total Effects 7X Visible Anti-Aging Vitamin Complex with UV Protection . However, any good moisturizer will do. Although Olay products are obviously recommended to be used with this product, if your own personal moisturizer works now, then it will still work with the creme.
Does this Stuff Really Work?
That’s indeed a very good question to ask before shelling out almost $20 for such a small little tube. I have used Olay Total Effects Intensive Restoration Treatment for 8 weeks now and I still have plenty left. I would say I have at least 2 weeks worth left. So even though it comes in such a small tube, it does go a long way. As soon as I applied the first treatment, I could already see that it made my skin look a little glossier. After about the 2nd week, there were noticeable differences. Even though the product doesn’t remove fine lines all together, it covered mine up and left my problem areas looking problem free. My fine lines seem to have disappeared from around my eyes, and a sun blotch on my cheek has softened to almost nothing. On each application, I have also noticed that the creme absorbs rather quickly and doesn’t seem to have any fragrance at all.
