Why Are Courts So Biased Against Men?
I am a woman who is all for protecting women from abusers or men who would abandon their children, but please! Lets give the men equal chances here, because they aren’t always “the bad guy”.
There is a situation I know of where a couple had a “fling” and had a child. The woman didn’t say who had paternity rights and so the man could have just left the scene and been free. However he loved that child enough to claim the rights to the child. In return for such a manly act, he got a couple months a year visitation rights and he also got stuck with paying at least $400 a month to the woman’s state to help pay for her welfare check! This man not only has to provide for his current family, but he also has to pay for a woman who is sitting at home watching soap operas and collecting welfare. The woman is not a victim because she chose to have this relationship out of wedlock. Why should she get to sit home while this man works to support two families? Anyway, I know I don’t need $100 per week to pay for one child…do you?
Another problem that is becoming rampant is that women can say just about anything they want and an innocent man will have to spend nightmarish months going through a complicated court system just to prove his innocence. Many times he will have his family ripped away from him while lawyers hash out his fate. Let a woman get angry at her husband and all she must do is produce a bruise and that man is ruined. Let a girl decide she didn’t enjoy her night with her boyfriend and suddenly she has been raped. Watch a young lady hatch a plan to get her school principle in trouble for “sexual harrassment” and ruin his career. Even if the men in these cases are proven innocent, their jobs and lives are still scarred for life.
I do not understand how a woman is allowed to decide she does not love her husband anymore, and leave him and take the children…yet still demand that monthly check. I think that if she does not need her husband anymore, she does not need his money either. It is especially strange that a man would be required to continue to pay money to a remarried woman. If the woman has a new husband, it would only make sense that the new husband support his wife and any children that came into the marriage as well.
I do realize that there are many deadbeat husbands and deadbeat dads and these should be prosecuted and made to pay – and pay dearly. However the court system needs to realize that there are just as many deadbeat moms and wives. Let’s stop ruining men by allowing women to have their way in court every time. Let’s stop ruining children by assuming the mother is always the best parent if seperation is involved. If women and men are equal, they should also have equal time in court. As it stands, women are “innocent until proven guilty” but many men are “guilty until proven innocent”. Where are equal rights now?
