Review of the Best Seafood Restaurants in Charleston, SC

The choices of restaurants in Charleston are endless. Seafood restaurants are every where, but which ones are the best? Which ones are worth the money? Well I have found a few that I like. So let me introduce you to some of the best seafood restaurants in Charleston. If ever you decide to visit be sure to stop in and try out these restaurants.

Hyman’s Seafood – Just an outstanding place to eat. The food is wonderful and the staff are very professional. My husband and I were extremely impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. There are many ways for your food to be prepared. You can have your food prepared fried, broiled, scampi, cajun, sauteed, and many more ways. They let you choose your own combo platters from a list of items. That is neat because there are some things I just don’t eat, so I can create my platter the way I want at Hymans. For the appetizer try the fried soft shell crab. Oh my it is delicious. For the main course I recommend the Charleston Shrimp & Grits. The best shrimp & grits I have ever tasted. Also the buffalo shrimp are really good. Don’t leave until you have tried their Aunt Sydney’s Homemade Cheesecake dessert. Oh man, it will melt in your mouth. Hyman’s also offer many different alcohol beverages. Everything from beer to cocktail specials. I’m telling you, don’t leave Charleston with out stopping by Hymans. Best of all the prices are really reasonable. Oh they also have a special menu for kids.

A.W. Shucks – This is another outstanding seafood restaurant. There is a little something of everything on the menu. They even have a menu for kids. The prices are a little high, but the food is well worth the money. The staff are really friendly and stay on top of things. I would definitely have to recommend the Crab Cake and Stuffed Shrimp Combo for the main course. I think this is absolutely the best main course meal on the menu. The buffalo oysters are really good too. We had those for our appetizer. Their homemade milk shakes are fantastic. I really enjoyed this restaurant. So be sure to stop by if you’re ever in Charleston.

82 Queen – This is absolutely the most beautiful restaurant that I have eaten at. The atmosphere is so relaxing and pleasant. The flowers are so beautiful that surround the restaurant. The staff are friendly and very professional. I highly recommend this restaurant. Now on to the food. Boy oh boy, I promise you won’t leave hungry. My husband and I ate the Southern Barbequed Shrimp and Grits for the appetizer. Oh my goodness it was so good. Then for our main course I ate the Marinated Chicken and Jumbo Shrimp dinner. It was delicious. It is served with red rice, tasso ham, vidalia onions, and broccollini sauce. I recommend you try the Peach Praline Cobbler for dessert. They serve it to you with cinnamon ice cream on top. It will melt in your mouth. I think you would really enjoy this restaurant. Not only the food but also the atmosphere. The prices really aren’t that bad. I think the food is well worth it.
