Best Seafood on the Boardwalk of Virginia Beach

With a plethora of seafood restaurants along the boardwalk in Virginia Beach, the options can seem endless. When it comes to a great seafood dining experience, fresh fish, unique recipes and superb service are all key. While dining on the beach with spectacular views of the ocean surf is a draw all its own, these three restaurants all have a little something special that set them apart from the rest.

Mahi Mah’s Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Saloon in the Ramada Inn on the Beach offers a fantastic selection of fresh fish, brought in daily, a stunning wine selection and the only sushi available on the boardwalk. The prices are a little high, but that’s to be expected in this resort area. Dinners range from $20 and up, and sushi is priced at $2 and up per piece. Outstanding daily seafood specials abound and are served with expertly seasoned veggies. As one of the southernmost restaurants on the boardwalk, diners are often treated to views of dolphins playing in the waves. Additionally, Mahi Mah’s often sponsors local festivals and events, and has live music on their stage outside almost year round. This establishment isn’t just for tourists; it offers amazing specials for locals including half-priced sushi and $10 lobster tails and prime rib! The closest thing to fine dining anywhere on the beach, Mahi Mah’s is sure to please with the biggest scallops, most beautiful filets of fish and the best clams and oysters available. Reservations are not needed most nights, may be necessary in the busy summer tourist season. Check out their flashy Flash website for menu, hours and local specials. $$$
