This organization allows you to choose the charity for which you would like to donate your vehicle. They also schedule free towing for your vehicle, and require the proper paperwork. Donate A Car also accepts RV’s, boats, trailers, and motorcycles.

Their website offers a downloadable form for IRS tax deductions, and an online contact form where you can tell them about your vehicle. Donate A Car will pick up your vehicle no matter where it is – as long as its inside the United States – and they will also issue a tax deduction receipt.

When you cannot, in good conscience, sell your car to a private party or to a dealership, donations are often the way to go. Performing a good deed for various charities and receiving your tax deduction is an excellent method of recouping your losses and helping your community.
