Selling vehicles can take a lot of one’s time. You may be hounded by endless calls and by people wanting to see the vehicle in person. A lot of the time, you just waste your time as people try to haggle with you about the cost. By donating your vehicle you are saving yourself this endless frustration and you know you will be helping some needy people. Sometimes you may even get a bigger tax deduction than you think. You could actually make more money this way than you would by just selling. And, yes, they will accept your vehicle, even if it doesn’t run, unlike most regular buyers.
So, if you have an used vehicle sitting in your driveway or yard, going to rust, think about helping somebody in need. Think seriously about donating that vehicle to either charity. By doing a good deed like this, you may even feel a warm feeling in your heart, knowing you did something good. And like our grandmothers use to tell us, all good deeds will come back to us, when we need help ourselves.
