Houston’s Big Men’s Club – an Organization for Chubby Gay Men and Their Admirers
Houston’s Big Men’s Club. It is a social organization for chubby gay men and their admirers. It was created by the founders to give hefty men a place where they could feel welcome.
Their members come from all areas of the city. Sometimes they even get visitors from out of town. They have various social events throughout the month with their regular monthly meeting at the Houston Gay Community Center every second saturday of the month. Their members range in age from 18 to 60 plus.
The organization has been going strong for over two years. New members visit the group every month and some become members during their first visit. Many gay men have commented that they really enjoy being a part of the club. Everyone seemed so kind hearted they would say. They have had several fund raisers for the Katrina disasters. Houston Big Men’s Club is in the process of becoming a 501(c) 3 organization. Their goal is to become of the largest Big Men’s group in the southwest.
In the past several months they have spear headed various social activities such as watching movies and sponsoring indoor pool parties. There have also been board game nights and dining together at various restaurants. It is a great way for big boned gay men to make new friends.
