Romantic, Inexpensive Gifts Men Can Buy for Women

When we think of romantic gifts or gestures, generally we are not thinking about cheap items. We think diamonds, fancy dinners and roses. Of course, there is nothing wrong with any of those romantic gifts. They are sure to make any woman smile. But we understand that men can not always afford those types of luxurious, at least not on an ongoing basis. But there is good news. There are things you can buy for us that are cheaper and can be just as meaningful or even more meaningful. All you have to do is to open up your mind and your imaginations. Needs some examples? Here are a few things I know I would appreciate as a romantic gift from my guy.

Flowers

You can still go this route. Just go right pass that enormous bouquet of roses and start looking. Then you may notice the carnations, daisies, lilies, glads, etc. Add a sprig of green or baby’s breath and these flowers may even be liked more than the traditional roses. You can also try potted plants with a few cut flowers added into the mix, if your lady has a green thumb.

Cards

Cards are the cheapest way to ever say I love you. Plus, the can be kept for years to come. Women love to save their love notes and cards. You are lucky, too. The card industry is bigger than ever. There are cards for everything from I love you to I am sorry. Buy the one that represents your sentiment best.

Candles

Women love things that smell good. A nice candle set is a great way to set the mood, too.

Chocolates

You don’t have to buy the big expensive boxes. Those are filled with more packaging than candy, anyway. Buy a handful of her favorite candy bars, place them in a box and watch her smile as she opens it.

Lotions

If you know her favorite scents, you can’t go wrong here (unless you know she has hyper sensitive skin, than avoid things like this totally)

Book of love poems

Yes, some women still love poetry. You could even glance through it and find one that you like. Then mark it so you both can read it together.

Her favorite movie on DVD

Yes, it will probably be a chick flick, but it will lead to cuddling on the sofa and who knows what else.

CD of her favorite music.

Yes, mix tapes were all the rage. Now mixed CDs are the thing. Go online and make it yourself. She will love the fact that you took the time to do it.

Her favorite blend of coffee or tea.

This would be a drink she wouldn’t drink every morning, just when she needs a pick me up or wants to celebrate how much you love her.

A favorite food item

Chocolate is not food, it is a survival mechanism we women need. By favorite food item, I am speaking about a favorite bread, a favorite cake, a favorite jam, something that again she likes on special occasions.

Now think about your lady. You know her best. Think about those kinds of little things she loves. Then buy them, when she least expects it, for no reason except that you love her.

Then all is left to do is tell her you love her. That is the present she will like the most.
