The housing situation on Ultima Online has improved a great deal, but for most people, the time required to find a place to put a house is prohibitive. Houses can also be brought in game, usually for several million gold pieces. Many players find the time it takes to save that amount of money, not worth the effort, and opt for purchasing a house on Ebay. It is important to note that when you buy a house or anything else for the game on sites such as Ebay, you are actually simply paying a “finders fee”. The In-game item remains the property of Ultima Online.
