Great Places to Hold a Formal in Binghamton, NY

As a student of Binghamton University, I have been to many social events such as formals, semi-formals and proms. I have been to a variety of locations and some places I have found to be exceptional and great choices for throwing a great party. Other places have been disastrous. I break down these places and give my opinions of the best and worst places to hold a formal, semi-formal or prom in the Binghamton, NY area.¯¿½

Endwell Greens: Endwell Greens was the last place I attended a formal event and let me be one of the first people to say that it my number one choice to throw a party their. The place from the outside doesn’t really look like much. It actually looks like a barn but the inside is beautiful. There is a nice size dance floor and you have the option of an open bar or a cash bar. The waiters and waitresses are really nice and the food comes out quickly and hot. The tables are decorated nicely as well. There really are no faults when it comes to Endwell Greens.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½

Hilton Hotel: The Hilton Hotel I have found to be the classiest place of them all. As a Hilton hotel name, would you really expect anything less? The Hilton Hotel is a really fancy hotel and having a party their is even fancier. The only problem I have with having a party there is that is gets really expensive. Each person has to pay a minimum of $100 and that could decrease the amount of people who attend your party because not many college students want to spend $100 on an elaborate party. The food is really tasty and delicious and the service is first class. If you want an extravagant party, the Hilton Hotel is the way to go.
Silo Restaurant: The Silo restaurant is also a fancy restaurant that many people choose to have their parties. The Silo restaurant is also for a more extravagant party. However the dance floor is very small and while the food is excellent, there are limits as to how loud and raucous the party can be. The Silo restaurant does serve customers in the restaurant section of the place. If you are looking for a sit and talk over dinner type of place to have a formal like a formal dinner the Silo Restaurant is the place to go.¯¿½

Tiffany’s: Tiffany’s is another fancy place to go to in Binghamton, NY. I haven’t been here yet but from reviews from my friends and peers I have heard nothing but great reviews from Tiffany’s. Tiffany’s is an expensive place as well but not as expensive as the Hilton Hotel. They do have a danced floor and the service for food is great. If you want to have a daytime party or affair instead of a dinner or night time party I recommend going with Tiffany’s.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½

Ramada Inn: The Ramada Inn is one of the cheapest places you can go to for a formal or party which can be a good thing. While there are certainly other places that have better food or service, you can be sure to get a good turnout at the Ramada Inn with cheap prices on liquor and beer. Also, the cost of having an open bar with unlimited drinks is pretty cheap compared to the other restaurants and hotel places so the guests can get drunk a lot quicker and have a better time.¯¿½

Holiday Inn: This last place was one of my favorite hotels. I have been there for breakfast and for a formal event. The breakfast was done really well. They had a buffet line with all sorts of breakfast items like eggs, toast, bagels, sausage, ham, French toast, pancakes, omelets and much more. They had plenty of round tables for seating and the waiters and waitresses always came around to the tables and asked if we wanted to refill juice, coffee or water. The formal I attended at the Holiday was l likewise done and set up really well. They had a really big dance floor and the service was very good. There was a cocktail hour where food was lineup up in a buffet style and the guests got to sit down after grabbing some food and talk to their friends which I enjoyed. I highly recommend this place as well and the prices are very reasonably.¯¿½

Whatever place you choose for your formal, semi-formal or prom, I hope it is one of the best times of your life.
