Hotel Guide: Austin, Texas Hotels

So you’re in Texas, and not just any part of this wonderful state, but you are finding yourself in Austin. Whether you are here for business or personal use, there are several hotels in which you absolutely mustn’t pass by. So no matter your reasons you are in this beautiful state and even more stunning city, than you must consider either one of these three hotels.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Hyatt Regency Austin. Now this hotel follows in the tradition of all Hyatt’s, which is that of modern elegance. Think Queen Mary meets Studio 54 – okay, maybe not that eclectic, but still magnificently beautiful. The Hyatt Regency Austin consists of a sixteen-story building and is located on the south bank of Town Lake with a full, beautiful view of downtown Austin. Inside of this wonderful hotel, there is a stream, which makes its way around the lobby, which is flanked by massive rock formations and mysterious tall gracious trees. Once going to your room, you are greeted by a glass elevator, which offers you an aerial view of the lobby and all of the quite hustle and bustle that is happening below you. There are 447 guestrooms located within the sixteen stories, all of which include a light pine furnishings and colorful floral bedspreads. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access is available at a surcharge. All bathrooms have granite vanity-countertop, designer toiletries, and large mirrors.

The second hotel in which was reviewed is the Renaissance Austin Hotel. As many of the Renaissance franchise, this hotel is that of grandeur. It is located in the northwest suburb of Austin, and this hotel is less than twenty minutes away from The University of Texas, the sixth street entertainment district, and downtown. Once you walk into the lobby, you are greeted by a nine-story atrium, garnered with marble floors and fountain. The hotel offers business travelers over 60,000 square feet of usable business space. But not only is there a high-tech business center, the hotel also offers its guests an on-site health club, with fitness equipment, sauna, spa tub, and indoor/outdoor pool, plus access to off-site tennis courts. The hotel also offers a program called “Fit For You,” which allows it’s guests to rent fitness equipment for their rooms.

And finally, but absolutely not the least, is The Driskill. This hotel was built in 1886, and the hotel’s amazingly wonderful lobby features a stained-glass dome ceiling above three-story columns and marble floors. Are you a business traveler? Well, there is a place just for you, take advantage of the complimentary 24-hour wireless Internet Access available in the business center. The fitness center in which is available to all guests consists of cardio equipment as well as two private steam rooms, and spa services. There are 188 guestrooms and thirteen suites distributed throughout the Historic wing, with soaring ceilings and ornate woodwork and all of this is completed by balconies, as well as guestrooms are found in the Traditional Wing, which is outfitted in the art deco style. This wing was built in 1929. High-Speed Internet Access is complimentary in all guestrooms. Here at The Driskill guests will experience the beautifulness that is only found within the historic walls.
