Sunshine

I love the feeling of the sun
As it caresses my skin
The warmth brings back to life that feeling of love
Rays warm the body
That once swore it would forever be cold.
I love the sun
I would never leave it if I didn’t have to
Out on the sand,
upon carefree waters
The sun comes to me
Touches my skin-
Warming from within
If only for a time
Tomorrow the burn will be there
Reminding me- love is for only a time
In the end that warming feeling burns and ruins what’s fine
Unable to move I am there
Smiling at the irony
The things a person loves the most
Are the things that hurt the most in the end
