Blue Diamond Almond Milk
Blue Diamond Growers is the largest nut company in the world, and it makes almonds California’s largest food export. It is Sacramento, California, and has been going since 1910. They employ multiple pasteurizations on their almonds to avoid Salmonella. Almonds are a wonderful source of nutrition, and Blue Diamond Almond Milk provides calcium, and vitamins D, A, and E. The vitamin E gives us 50 percent of our daily requirement. It has no saturated fat, and its sodium content is outweighed by its potassium content. Still, those strictly avoiding salt must beware, as it does have 150 mg. per serving in the Vanilla kind, for example. People avoiding sugar should note it also contains 15 grams of sugar, in the form of evaporated cane juice, with 16 grams of carbohydrates overall. (However, the Original type only has 8 grams of carbs.) It is made with filtered water, and has 25 percent fewer calories than the most common soy beverage, as Blue Diamond Vanilla Almond Milk weighs in at 90 calories. It is gluten and lactose free, containing no common allergens.
Commercial cow’s milk is a disaster, and is filled with pus from the mistreated cow’s udders because of the growth hormones they are given. Milk is the most mucus producing food, and this does not just mean sinus congestion, but sluggishness in the entire body, providing a home for unpleasant microorganisms. The processing of it kills off any nutritional benefits, and humans are not made to drink milk from such huge, non humanoid animals with multiple stomachs. The cattle industry is ruining the planet environmentally, and is not economically sound. Drinking it endangers the health for many reasons, and is causing young girls to begin puberty, is allergenic to the majority of people, is inhumane to the cows, and produces methane gasses in the atmosphere. So, most health conscious people have turned to soy or rice milk, and now, there are other forms such as oat milk.
Blue Diamond Almond Milk is a good choice over the other types because rice and oats are both high in carbohydrates. Those types of milks generally have about 27 grams of carbs. Oats contain gluten, and stored rice commonly has mold, even after cooking and processing. The Blue Diamond Unsweetened Almond Milk is the best choice for avoiding carbohydrates.
Though unsweetened soy milk has the lowest carbs, soy is very controversial. Soy blocks enzymes that digest protein, which can even cause cancer and its phytites inhibit digestion of minerals, especially zinc. Soy also contains a clot producing substance which also inhibits growth. It also lowers thyroid function.
Many dislike the chalky, thin, or coagulated textures of alternative milks, whereas there is nothing not to like in Blue Diamond Almond Milk. The taste and texture are fantastic, if you are in the mood for something sweet. In fact, their chocolate type is too good. How one is supposed to only drink a little of it, I don’t know.
