Make Peace with the Flu with Olive Leaf

Our world has been blessed with the ability to make huge strides in medicine, leading to a better understanding of health and well-being. However, one of the problems with these advancements is that they require a great deal of time and study – and sometimes they are put into practice before they are ready. This can pose a risk to your health. Such is the case in many common vaccinations, such as the $100 million worth of a still-experimental vaccine against the deadly avian flu virus (bird flu). Flu vaccines, while used commonly in workplaces, schools, and general doctor’s offices nationwide, may not be as safe as they seem. Most vaccinations contain traces of toxins such as mercury, ethylene glycol (the substance used in antifreeze), phenol (used in disinfectants), formaldehyde, and aluminum (which has been associated with seizures and Alzheimer’s disease). In fact, according to studies at the University of Kentucky, “if a child in the 1990s got all of the shots, he or she would be exposed to mercury levels of more than 100 times those deemed safe by the EPA.” This is scary. But what may be scarier is that without these vaccines, we feel defenseless, but we’re not!

If you take a look in your refrigerator door or on the next pizza you order, you may come across the end product of a plant that can be one of the best defenses known. Olive trees are robust, disease-resistant plants known to withstand a variety of bacteria, fungi, microbes, viruses, etc., that would otherwise destroy other plants. Documented accounts of the use of olive leaves for medicinal purposes date back to the early 1800s when they were used to lower high fevers and treat malaria infection.

Scientists today have discovered that olive leaf extract contains the important phytochemicals that make it a formidable treatment against both infections and degenerative diseases. It has been known to eliminate chronic bacterial and viral infections, even after multiple unsuccessful attempts with chemical antibiotics. It is so powerful that it is known to be one of the first successful treatments against Herpes, salmonella, influenza, malaria, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and others. It also works as an anti-inflammatory, lowers blood pressure, improves blood flow, and helps prevent angina.
So, while eating extra olives on your pizza may not prove helpful in protecting you from bird flu, supplementing with a good natural olive leaf extract may do just that in a safer fashion than experimental vaccines
