Live Jazz in Northwest Atlanta – Hyatt Style!

Hyatt Northwest has proven to be a surprisingly inspired departure from the traditional jazz club scene. Acts are carefully chosen for their appeal to a younger jazz-loving audience; 25-and over patrons who can appreciate a contemporary artist’s unique treatment of a range of genres. For instance last week the audience applauded Spencer Bean’s ‘Little Red Corvette’ (Prince) as excitedly as they did ‘Just the Two of Us’ (Grover Washington, Jr.)

The hotel’s open yet sultry lounge features the acts in front of the lovely poolside area (rumor has it the venue will be moved outdoors to the pool area within coming weeks). Those who like to be close to the action can enjoy an intimacy with the artists that’s sometimes missed by other jazz venues.
