Major Concerts in Philadelphia This Summer

If you’re like me, you love music. It’s in our nature to dance around, sing in the shower, and make it a priority to make sure we get our favorite musicians concert tickets! Great musicians are constantly coming through Philadelphia, why not enjoy them? Whether you get down to sweet sounds of The O’Jays or rock out to Yellowcard, this guide will help keep you in the know. With venues like The Trocadero, Electric Factory, Keswick Theater, Wachovia Center, and other random ones scattered around the city – there are many concerts to enjoy.

First, we’ll start with Madonna’s Confessions Tour. She has two dates at the Wachovia Center in July. They are July 12th and 13th. The tickets went on sale in April, so it’s best to get them as soon as you can. If you can’t make it to the concerts at the Wachovia Center there is also a concert at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This concert will be held on July 16th.

The Dave Matthews Band will be coming through June 27th and 28th. Both concerts will be held at the Tweeter Center in Camden, New Jersey. Like the Madonna tickets, these tickets went on sale in April. There are still tickets available for both dates. It’s best you get these tickets as soon as possible.

Radiohead will be playing the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby. Tickets went on sale on the 6th of May. Due to popularity, I strongly advise anyone wanting to see these guys to make an immediate purchase. These tickets will not be available for long. The dates to see them are June 1st and June 2nd.

Those into Yellowcard will be excited to hear that they’re coming to our great city. The punk rock band that incorporates a violinist into their music will be playing at the Electric Factory. Tickets went on sale in April. The date of this concert is June 23rd. This is a WMMR supported event. While we’re talking about punk rock bands coming to Philadelphia, it’s best I mention that A.F.I,Taking Back Sunday, and The R.X. Bandits are also coming to town.

Married couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are coming to Philadelphia!! June 15th and 16th, you’ll be able to see them together. If you want to experience two of the greatest country artists and see the prime example of true love, these concerts are for you! They will be playing at the Wachovia Center. Tickets have been available since March. This tour is presented by Hershey’s.

Diva Aretha Franklin will be playing the House of Blues in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Both shows are 18+ and reserved seating. The dates are June 23rd and June 24th. Due to popularity, I strongly advise immediate purchase. While we’re on the subject of amazing R&B, the O’Jays are also going to be playing the House of Blues on June 16th.

Hip Hop artist Atmosphere will be playing The Trocadero June 22nd. All tickets for this venue are general admission. Other hip hop artist Juelz Santana will be playing the House of Blues June 29th. Unlike other concerts at The House of Blues in Atlantic City, New Jersey – this concert is all ages.

For your kids Aly & AJ will be playing the Tower Theater in Upper Darby. These Disney stars who star in Phil of the Future and Cowbelles will be playing June 3rd. The Boss Bruce Springsteen will be playing at the Tweeter Center on June 20th. Other noteworthy concerts this summer include Def Leppard/Journey, Panic! At the Disco, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
