The Grand Canyon and Other Things to See and Do in Arizona

Who can think of Arizona tourism without thinking about the Grand Canyon?! Not to be missed as well is the presence of Spanish and Mexican culture and heritage in Arizona. From the food to the language to the religion, the influences are easily found in the state. Among the most beautiful examples are the Missions built as early as the 1700s by monks. The peaceful establishments pepper Arizona landscape.

If rowdy history is more to your liking, you’ll be sure to stop in Tombstone, Arizona. Who among fans of the American West has not heard of Wyatt Earp and the O.K Corral? Visit the real town in Arizona and lives on in the legends of the great West.

For kids and children at heart, traveling to northern Arizona is a must. Here, at the Four Corners Monument, you can be in four states at one time! Children of all ages will also want to visit the natural waterslide in Oak Creek Canyon. While you are there, take advantage of the amazing hiking or the nearby railroad trip through the beautiful Verde River Canyon. This 38-mile trip is sure to please any birdwatcher, as eagles and other large birds have been spotted along the ride. Or, visit the site of Pluto’s discovery at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona. If you didn’t enter a stargazer, you will definitely leave as one!
