How to Get on American Inventor

If you saw the first season of “The Next American Inventor,” than I am sure that you are very eager to see the second season. But after watching “The Next American Inventor” show have you come up with a few inventions of your own. Well it is not too late. “The Next American Inventor” is now casting for the second season. First of all to be on the American Inventor show you have to have an invention that will make the cut. I am sure that you saw some of the crazy inventions that people came up with during the first season. According to their website they will be holding their second audition search in the fall/ winter of 2006. Keep in mind that your product has to be something that can be mass produced and sold in a retail outlet. If you missed the first season of “The Next American Inventor” let me tell you a little bit about the American Inventor. The purpose of this show is to make the American dream com true and find some of the best undiscovered inventions in the United Stated. The grand prize is one million dollars. For the first group of casting calls they held them in seven major cities that included Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Denver, Chicago, Washington DC and Atlanta. Even kids can enter, so that means that it is open to everyone. Their were four people on the panel of judges. They included Peter Jones, (he is from the UK and is the most successful entrepreneurs in the world), Doug Hall ( an inventor, who seemed to annoy everyone during the first season), Ed Evangelista, (an executive creative director at the New York Headquarters of JWT, and Mary Lou Quinlan, (founder and CEO of Just Ask a Women, one of the premiere women’s marketing companies in the U.S. Of course let us not forget the host Matt Gallant, (formerly the host of Americas funniest animals).

So if you are contemplating appearing on the show than you should make sure that your invention is up to par. You do not want to be one for the people who end up getting embarrassed on the show. Remember an invention that sells is one that is simple to use and it must make sense. You should also be prepared to stand in line, for a very long time. As soon as you find out the date of the casting call in your area you should begin making your arrangements. If you get their early enough they you will not have to wait in the four or five hour lines that many people had to wait in last time. Believe it or not some people even had to wait a lot longer. So make sure your invention is set and ready to go.
