The Fray and Daniel Powter

“Bad Day” has a run time of around three minutes and fifty three seconds. The song starts out with one starting out their day with a cup of coffee and pretending that things are okay. But deep inside things are falling through and you’re having a bad day. About half way through the song there’s a brighter side to it- the lyrics and the beat are more uplifting and even though it’s been a bad day, it’s not the end of the world.

The music video features two young people starting their day in similar ways and both taking a lunch break in the same park each day. Then on their way home they start communicating through these pictures which ends up being a women sitting on a bench being shelter by the rain with a guy holding an umbrella. The two main characters meet up in the end when it’s raining out waiting for a taxi cab.
