The Wall
We walk the
Black Marble Gash
of sorrow.
They are Strangers to me;
lovers to some;
sons and daughters;
husbands and wives;
brothers and sisters.
A wall of Tears.
A wall of Courage.
Flags wave in
honor of their
Sacrifice;
their Patriotism.
They are still
strangers to me.
Yet I walk the
Black Marble Gash
and I grieve
the Need for The Wall.
Black Marble Gash
of sorrow.
They are Strangers to me;
lovers to some;
sons and daughters;
husbands and wives;
brothers and sisters.
A wall of Tears.
A wall of Courage.
Flags wave in
honor of their
Sacrifice;
their Patriotism.
They are still
strangers to me.
Yet I walk the
Black Marble Gash
and I grieve
the Need for The Wall.
