Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World

Downtown Disney is a complex of shops, dining establishments, a giant movie complex and clubs. There is an indoor virtual amusement park for the teens along with a large theater to watch a stunning show. If you are staying onsite at a Disney Resort transportation is included so be sure to take advantage as the parking lot fills up quickly! One great thing is there is no admission fee and it is open to everyone.

Downtown Disney offers visitors the chance to shop in stores such as Team Mickey, World of Disney or Lego. World of Disney is a massive Disney store which offers just about anything you can imagine from kitchen wares, to clothing to hats, stuffed toys, mugs, frames, jewelry and more! Check out the wandering eye at one entrance and beware of the shooting water at one of the others!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offers princess makeovers to little girls! Once Upon A Toy is an enchanting toy store with more than enough choices to please all little boys and girls! The Virgin Megastore will keep the teens thrilled with music and movies! There is something for everyone at Downtown Disney. At the Lego Imagination Store you will stand in awe at the mega creations created outside of the store. There is a giant Loch Ness Monster in the lake near the store, along with dinosaurs and people near the entrances! Inside is a massive Lego store for the builder in your family.

There is a Christmas store, pet store, clothing store, art store and more. With so much to see and do you’ll want to take time out for a sweet treat at Ghirardelli’s Soda Fountain! Ice cream sundaes and more await you. If it’s a meal you’re looking for there is a large Planet Hollywood or a House of Blues on the complex as well as many others including Wolfgang Puck’s CafÃ?©! There are also clubs for evening dancing. Pleasure Island will keep the over 21 crowd dancing all night!

Did you get rained out? No problem, stop by AMC 24 screen movie complex. There is also an indoor interactive theme park called DisneyQuest. There is a charge to enter DisneyQuest. Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba is offered for entertainment as well. Rave reviews sell this out quickly, so be sure to plan ahead if you wish to add this to your agenda. Prices range from $50 to $95 dollars for this show.

With so much to do, you’ll need to set aside time just to explore it all!
