Minor League Baseball Games

Major League ball games are all around the New Jersey area. I’m within a two hour drive of the Philadelphia Phillies, the New York Mets and the New York Yankees. Choosing to take the entire family to a Major League baseball game can add up! The cost of tickets, parking and treats at a major league park can be difficult for a young family who has a tight budget.

One way to enjoy a day at the ballpark is to consider a Minor League ball game or an Atlantic League ball game. Within an hour from my residence, there are two very nice ball parks that offer a family a way to have fun at a lower cost. The Somerset Patriots in Bridgewater, New Jersey and The Trenton Thunder in Trenton, New Jersey both offer a really nice ball park with all the amenities and an affordable price. Parking is generally under five dollars and all the fun ball park food and treats are still available.

Going to a Minor League ball game offers a family of four a similar experience for less than half the price of a Major League ball game. Most seats in a Minor League stadium offer great views of the field and are all close up! There are very few bad seats, if any!

Mascots fire up the crowds and get the fans involved. There are many side events and games played through out the breaks in the game. Minor League ball parks cater to families and offer a great experience especially for those with smaller children attending a first ball game.

Why not root on your home team and become a regular. For the price of a ticket, parking and a hot dog, you can afford to go often! Tickets are low cost and easy to get. You can order tickets online for most venues and they will hold them at a will call window for you. If the game is still a bit away, have them mailed to you. It doesn’t get any easier! Often, you can show up at the last minute and still score a good seat! A ball game is a great way to fill your day.

The Somerset Patriots are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and The Trenton Thunder are members of Minor League Baseball.
