Waikiki Resorts & Hotels

Sorting through all the resorts and hotels in Waikiki can be a bit overwhelming. But it’s a little easier if you know what to look for and just how much you’re willing to spend. There are a lot of travel deals out there, so once you decide on your Waikiki resort or hotel, make sure you examine all possible packages and options so that you know that you’re getting very the best deal. Why spend more than you have to on your Waikiki resort or hotel when that money could be going towards your kayak rental or towards your bar bill for some delicious Mai Tais at Duke’s?

Of course, everyone’s tastes differ, but if you’re searching for a large resort that’s classic with a Polynesian flair, look no farther than Hilton Hawaiian Village. This fabulous Waikiki resort boasts over 3,000 rooms, 4 swimming pools, 2 spas, and 2 fitness rooms. You can choose between 14 restaurants right in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and you can browse it’s 90 plus shops. The Hilton Hawaiian Village has an active, fun atmosphere and all the amenities you could hope for. You can alternate between the luxurious swimming pools and the adjacent stretch of Waikiki Beach. Room sizes vary and prices range between $195 and $520 per night.

Another of my favorite Waikiki resorts is the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. The Hyatt contains 1,230 rooms in its two 40-floor towers. A tremendous open-air atrium with a three-story manmade waterfall rests between them and is one of Waikiki’s most familiar landmarks. The Hyatt has a pool and beach access, 2 spas, a fitness room, 47 shops and 6 restaurants. Rooms are approximately 450 square feet and range in price from $265 to $410 per night.

The Mariott Waikiki Beach Resort is another sensational place to stay in Waikiki. With 1,310 rooms, 2 pools, a fitness room, 12 shops and 5 restaurants, the Mariott Waikiki Beach Resort is also one of Waikiki’s larger resorts. The rooms are comfortable and have a tropical feel. There are two towers – the Paoakalani Tower and the Kealohilani Tower – and rooms range in price from $320 to $490 per night.

Perhaps the brightest spectacle in Waikiki is Sheraton’s Royal Hawaiian. This wild Pink Palace abuts the best stretch of Waikiki Beach. Many would select the Royal Hawaiian as the place stay in Waikiki, bar none. There are 525 rooms, which range in price from $380 to $655, a beautiful pool, a restaurant, a luau, and it’s right near the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. But here’s the kicker: their Mai Tai Bar is right next to the beach and they have a roped off area of sand where you can legally drink your Mai Tai there on the beach!
